Although there are many great causes to support, Reprodux has chosen to focus and channel its charity and community efforts in supporting Bloorview Kids Rehab. Bloorview is Canada's largest teaching hospital for paediatric rehabilitation and is a world leader in medical care, research, and education for children with disabilities. Each year, more than 6,500 children and their families from across Canada use Bloorview's outpatient and community services. Over 300 children receive intensive inpatient rehabilitation following traumatic accidents, illnesses and surgeries, while outpatient visits total about 51,000 per year.
Our commitment to Bloorview is demonstrated through our support of their various events throughout the year, such as the Toshiba Charity Golf Classic and the Grand Prix Foundation Bike for Tykes. Further, we also host and run our own event – Reprodux Day at the Races! This (soon-to-be) annual event consists of an afternoon of live horse racing, gourmet food, entertainment, guest speakers, silent auction, and games at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. Corporate partners, including presenting sponsor Xerox Canada and Scotiabank provided overwhelming support to the event. In our first year we raised $50,000 for Bloorview!
